New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year everyone! I have been thinking a little about my resolutions. Here is what I have so far...

1. Get back to exercising and healthy eating
2. Spend more time crafting. I have a beautiful room that I love and I'm going to use it more often!
3. Send out more hand-written notes. I feel hand-written notes are so important and hardly anyone does it anymore.
4. Clean and organize my house. I can't believe it has been 7 years since we moved in. I never thought I would fill up every single cabinet. I need to clean and purge.
5. Blog more frequently. I can't believe my last post was from July. Where does the time go?

Wednesday

So the boys started the day off by going to rent their bikes. We then drove into Bend to grocery shop. We stopped by the river to see where we would put our rafts in when we go floating. It was freezing. We decided we better wait until a hot day!

The water balloon launcher again provides lots of smiles...

Even the girls get into it :)

SUNRIVER 2011

Tuesday, June 28th...

The drive to Sunriver poured rain the whole time. I have never experienced that in all of our years coming up here. It was weird. I drove to Redding, where we stopped for lunch at In N Out. There were so may people there that we had to eat outside in the wetness. After lunch Curt took over the driving (thank goodness!!!!)

We stopped at our favorite rest stop for potty and pics.

We got into Sunriver about 6pm and headed to the grocery store for dinner fixins. The kids shot water balloons across the road.....

I don't remember what else we did that night besides having spaghetti for dinner. That's what happens when I don't write things down :(

Terrible blogger

I am a terrible blogger. Life just gets in the way. I worked on some really cool banners that I gave as Xmas gifts and I'm just now getting around to posting them.

Autumn and I made a Mickey Merry Christmas banner for our boss, Dr. Gjerde. Didn't it turn out so cute? Sorry about the blue tape, but it is the only thing I've found that comes off the walls so nicely!

I made this blue and white banner for my sister in law but I ended up giving it to my friend, Lorie. Hope she enjoyed it!

I also made 3 more banners but I guess somehow I didn't get pics of all of them. Here is another

This is the first banner I made for myself. Loved it. The pic is blurry though, sorry!

Scraproom Updated

I'm participating in a blog hop on creative spaces. After my post scroll down and check out all the other great spaces!

OK, so my space hasn't changed that much. Maybe a little bit more stuff (believe it or not)
.

This is when you walk into the space and turn to the left. It is my pegboard system I got at Michaels. You had the option of hanging on the wall or directly on your cubes. I did a little of both throughout my room.

This picture shows a display of some finished scrapbook layouts above my cubes. I got this idea somewhere on Two Peas in a Bucket. I had a whole binder full of ideas I had printed from that site while I waited (forever!!) to have a dream room.

This is a close up of the tops of my cubes. I put misc cards I have made and things I have received in the mail. I try to change them out frequently.

These are my cubes from Michaels. I LOVE them. They were plain white but I decopaged them with black and white scrapbook paper. It took forever but I think it was totally worth it! I store my packs of paper in the bottom cubes. I store the paper alphabetically by designer.

This is my cricut area. I got the red shelves for my cartridges at Ikea and I have my expression on some more cubes. I recently got some more pegboards and attached them behind my cricut to hang up my mats, inks for my imagine, blades, etc. I love how they are right at my fingertips. I also store my solid cardstock below these cubes.

Just a close up of the shelves. These shelves are awesome. They store my cricut cartridges perfectly and I can even go 2 deep on the cartridges. Not that I have enough to do that though (wink wink)!

Close up of the pegboard system.

My friend Cathi, helped me cut out these chandeliers on vinyl. We stuck them all on and then I embellished with some bling.

This is what I look out upon.

On the other side of the room I purchased 2 desks from Ikea and put them together to form a long work area. I have my Imagine on this left side. My tv will also go in this area when I get one.

Just another look at the 2 desks put together. I love my mirror! There is a scrapbook store in Texas that I found perusing the web and they had an amazing frame that held some slatboard. It was beautiful and my inspiration for this mirror. You should visit their blog.

I was going to take out the mirror and put slatboard in but when I got it hung up, I loved it too much to change it.

These are the legs to the desks. I loved them because you can store the photo boxes perfectly. I store my blank cards for card-making in these.

My embellishment center is to the right of the mirror. I love this!! I have my stickles hanging underneath on a knife rack from Ikea. I glued magnets to the stickles. It works great.

To the right I have my clip it up. I have more cubes underneath it. Still have to finish decopaging those. I store all my punches in these cubes.

I got this rug on overstock.com. I absolutely love it, except for the fact that my doggie loves it too. So I am forever vacuuming. Don't get black!!!!

This is a canvas piece in progress. I just got it hung during Christmas. Now I have to finish it. I got some Teresa Collins paper when I was visiting my sis in So Ca. I love her! Oh, my sis too!

As you walk out of my room I have a framed chalkboard hanging so everyone can write me a little note. Also, I have the magnet boards from Michaels that hold my brads, eyelets, etc.

Thank you so much for touring my special room. I love it and I hope you do too!
