Scraproom Updated

I'm participating in a blog hop on creative spaces. After my post scroll down and check out all the other great spaces!

OK, so my space hasn't changed that much. Maybe a little bit more stuff (believe it or not)
.

This is when you walk into the space and turn to the left. It is my pegboard system I got at Michaels. You had the option of hanging on the wall or directly on your cubes. I did a little of both throughout my room.

This picture shows a display of some finished scrapbook layouts above my cubes. I got this idea somewhere on Two Peas in a Bucket. I had a whole binder full of ideas I had printed from that site while I waited (forever!!) to have a dream room.

This is a close up of the tops of my cubes. I put misc cards I have made and things I have received in the mail. I try to change them out frequently.

These are my cubes from Michaels. I LOVE them. They were plain white but I decopaged them with black and white scrapbook paper. It took forever but I think it was totally worth it! I store my packs of paper in the bottom cubes. I store the paper alphabetically by designer.

This is my cricut area. I got the red shelves for my cartridges at Ikea and I have my expression on some more cubes. I recently got some more pegboards and attached them behind my cricut to hang up my mats, inks for my imagine, blades, etc. I love how they are right at my fingertips. I also store my solid cardstock below these cubes.

Just a close up of the shelves. These shelves are awesome. They store my cricut cartridges perfectly and I can even go 2 deep on the cartridges. Not that I have enough to do that though (wink wink)!

Close up of the pegboard system.

My friend Cathi, helped me cut out these chandeliers on vinyl. We stuck them all on and then I embellished with some bling.

This is what I look out upon.

On the other side of the room I purchased 2 desks from Ikea and put them together to form a long work area. I have my Imagine on this left side. My tv will also go in this area when I get one.

Just another look at the 2 desks put together. I love my mirror! There is a scrapbook store in Texas that I found perusing the web and they had an amazing frame that held some slatboard. It was beautiful and my inspiration for this mirror. You should visit their blog.

I was going to take out the mirror and put slatboard in but when I got it hung up, I loved it too much to change it.

These are the legs to the desks. I loved them because you can store the photo boxes perfectly. I store my blank cards for card-making in these.

My embellishment center is to the right of the mirror. I love this!! I have my stickles hanging underneath on a knife rack from Ikea. I glued magnets to the stickles. It works great.

To the right I have my clip it up. I have more cubes underneath it. Still have to finish decopaging those. I store all my punches in these cubes.

I got this rug on overstock.com. I absolutely love it, except for the fact that my doggie loves it too. So I am forever vacuuming. Don't get black!!!!

This is a canvas piece in progress. I just got it hung during Christmas. Now I have to finish it. I got some Teresa Collins paper when I was visiting my sis in So Ca. I love her! Oh, my sis too!

As you walk out of my room I have a framed chalkboard hanging so everyone can write me a little note. Also, I have the magnet boards from Michaels that hold my brads, eyelets, etc.

Thank you so much for touring my special room. I love it and I hope you do too!

I never really realized, or admitted, how much shopping for craft supplies makes me feel good. A week or so ago I promised my hubby that I would not spend one single dime on any scrapbooking item. Now, some of you might be thinking, "No big deal. What's your problem?" Well, my problem is I LOVE to buy scrapbook things. I want to have everything. Everything that I see that comes out I say, "Oh my gosh. I need that." It has been a constant struggle every day not to break my promise. I haven't, but I am struggling!!!

I just wanted to put this out there and be honest. Do any of you struggle with this addiction?

Scrapping Fools

I spent last weekend at my sister, Heather's, house. We got lots and lots of scrappin' done. I got about 30 pages done I think. It was so nice to have someone to scrap with. It's always better with friends. We also made some little girly clips that were so fun. I'll post pics later. I bought the Tim Holtz ruler with my coupon at Michaels and I love it. I read somewhere that it works really great to get all the little boggers off my cricut mat and they were right!!! It worked great! Heather had to go out and buy one too....Craft night this Saturday if anyone would like to come. Talk to ya later!

Where Have I been?

Oh my goodness. My aunt told me she was going to mention my blog in her blog. I came here and went, "What, I haven't blogged in almost a month?" Well, my friends, my camera is dead. For me, that is a major catastrophe. I did not realize how much I use my camera. You should hear everyone at the soccer games asking me where my third arm is. I have beautiful cards to post from my designers for our wedding theme. We are currently working on kid birthdays. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. I used the cartridges Robotz and Create a critter for mine. I was really happy how they turned out. Hopefully I can get my camera fixed and won't have to buy a new one. Although, I have been wanting a Nikon......we'll see. I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer and I look forward to seeing your creations. We meet the third Saturday night of every month if you'd like to join us at my house for "craft" night.

What have I been doing? Well, we went camping mid-July with my mom, dad, sisters, their kids and my kids. We went to a place called Coloma Resort, which is only 1 hour from my house. We bought 4 inner-tubes and floated down the river pretty much the whole 2 days we were there. It was really fun! Great place and great people. No issues, well except that my brakes almost went out....Got them fixed after camping. We went to a soccer tournament for Savannah in Reno. That was fun. Believe it or not, I've never been to Reno. Other than that, we've been watching lots of movies and working....

4th of July

We got all dressed up for the 4th. These were taken in the backyard.

We went on a bike ride around the airport to the lodge. I have never seen so many people on the bike paths. It was great. So many families enjoying the beautiful day!

We went to the lodge so the boys could make their tee time for tomorrow.....................................

I was taking a picture of the kids and a nice lady asked if we would like her to take a picture of all of us. I handed her my camera and she said she had one just like it. But then she couldn't figure out how to use it. It was pretty funny, but we did get this shot. I think this is the only one of all of us.

This is at the Fire Station on the way back to our house. I love it!
We got home from the bike ride and the boys went into town to hit baseballs and pick up the bat that Austin had left at the fieldhouse. Girls watched a movie...Boys got back and we packed up the car to head into Bend for the fireworks as fireworks aren't allowed in Sunriver because of all the trees.

We went to a high school that we always go to and played baseball and shot water balloons. We really missed our friends, the Winn's, who have been pretty much every year we have. It was different without them....Boohoo!!!
Olivia smashing a home run!!! J/K.

Everyone had hit but Austin when the sprinklers came on. We waited awhile, but they did not turn off. Poor Austin! Here is a pic of almost all the kids that were there..
The pyromaniacs!

The fireworks started at 10:00 and were done by 10:30. We
came home and I can't even remember. All I know right now is that we have been going to bed at about midnight every night and I am soooooo tired. I am too old for this.....
