Today we decided to go to Paulina Lake, Paulina Peak and Paulina Falls. When we got to the ranger station he told us that the road to Paulina Peak was still closed due to snow. It's been a long time since there has been snow still when we are here. We went to the Big Obsidion Flow to hike through the lava flow from 1300 years ago. We then decided to go to Lake Paulina and picnic since we brought lunch. We got out of the car and got pretty much set up on the picnic bench and we discovered there were mosquitos everywhere. We packed the car back up and decided to try the falls. We thought, maybe there are no mosquitos there. We were wrong. So we picknicked in the car. Wasn't the best, but we made do. We then hiked to the falls. Everyone but me scrambled through the rocks and steep hill to get to the top. It is so beautiful. Hopefully we got a lot of great pictures. Sam climbed up to the top and was pushing on a log. Lo and behold the log was loose and it tumbled down the steep ravine. Luckily Sam did not go with it. Although I pretty much had a heart attack. I was so proud of Olivia. She was a little tentative at first, but then she ran with the big guns. Curt had her backpack, but other than that she rocked. We then drove to the Fall River Fish Hatchery. We fed the fish and walked down a pretty little trail where there were about 8 fishermen fly-fishing. It is so beautiful and peaceful here. Then we drove into Bend to go to Safeway for our groceries and water balloons. Came back to the house and went on a quick bike ride to the mall. I had to walk my nike up the one steep hill, as usual, but everyone else did great! We are now BBQ'ing a tri-tip and relaxing.

We've arrived
We finally made it at 8 pm. I think we were all ready to get out of the car..!!! We a stopped for lunch in Orland at the Black Bear Diner. Stopped for gas in Weed. The kids always get a kick out of that city name. Austin wanted a t-shirt, we said, Ya right! We stopped at a rest stop we always stop at which has pretty views so I could take pics. We unloaded our stuff at the house and the boys played basketball at the neighbors while Curt and the "girls" went to the grocery store. Got back and the girls went in the spa while the boys chilled out watching tv. It's now 10:20. The boys are still watching tv and the girls are all showered and smelling pretty ready for bed.
Sunriver Here We Come
It's our annual trip to Sunriver, Oregon. We are heading out and it is 11:03am. This is the latest we've ever left for the 8-9 hour drive. We have a car full of teenagers (2 boys and 2 girls) and they are already acting like they are all siblings. We are looking forward to our time to enjoy the sights and seeing how the children feel about our experience. We will do a lot of hiking, biking and relaxing. Sunriver is one of our favorite places. It is so beautiful and peaceful....

Heather's Challenge #3 for the night
I was so excited that for Heather's challenge I was on Create A Critter. I have been wanting so bad to play with that cartridge. But when I looked up on my Cricut shelf, I noticed that the next one was Christmas Cheer. So here is my card using Christmas Cheer. Now I am too tired to do anymore...There's always tomorrow, right?
Heather's Challenge #2 for the night
I did the second card for the night for Heather's Challenge. I used the celebration cartridge. This one has some really cute cakes and cupcakes...
Heather's Challenge
So today I have had some time in my scraproom. I finished Heather's challenge with the next cartridge, Beyond Birthdays. This cartridge has a lot of nice sayings. I used paper from my scrap drawer, which is always good...Who says that I won't use all my cartridges.....

I finished my next card for Heather's challenge. I used Ashlyn's Alphabet cartridge for this one. This cartridge has a very elegant cursive font. I love it!!

Scraproom
Well, I wanted to wait until I was completely done with my scraproom before I posted pics, but that might just be never.....so here you go.
Here is when you walk into the room to your left. I hung some Pegboards I got at Michaels. They are part of the cube system.
The door on the left of the cubes is to a bathroom (not finished yet). I decopaged my cubes black and white and hung a curtain rod above them to hang completed layouts.

This is my cricut station with Ikea shelving for my cartridge storage.
I will have to retake this photo, but this is what I look out when the silver curtains are open. We hung vinyl chandeliers that I cut with my cricut on the wall like wallpaper.

Here is a better shot of the chandeliers. I LOVE them!!
My Ikea desks.
I hung my embellishment center and some knife racks from Ikea. I glued magnets to the back of my stickles so they will hang upside down.

The end of my Ikea desks. The door to the right is to our attic storage.
Got these magnet boards at Michaels. I have brads, eyelets and misc small things in the jars. To the right is the same door we came through in the beginning.

NSD Challenges #2, 4 and 7
The winner of my NSD challenges 2,4 and 7 is......me. My prizes to myself included Once Upon a Princess, Robotz and Give a Hoot cartridges. Congratulations to me. Hopefully I will be making some fabulous projects soon with my prizes.
My first Cake
A couple of months ago Savannah and I were going to take the Wilton cake-decorating classes at Joanns. We were bummed when we found out you had to be 16 to take the class, so we decided to buy the supplies and go through the book ourselves. Our first project was at the end of April. We bought the soccer pan and made this cake for Savannah's birthday. It came out pretty good but our hands hurt so bad from squeezing out all those flowers.........Here it is!!
